Jimmy crack corn, and I don't care

Hi!

For whatever reason, the phrase (really, the song) in the subject, "Jimmy crack corn, and I don't care" got stuck in my head. I never knew what it meant, so I thought since it was stuck anyway, I might as well look it up and tell you what I found. So here it is:

The song is apparently about a slave from the American South, well pre Civil War. His master dies despite his efforts. He either doesn't care about Jimmy because he's so despondent, or so happy, (or so drunk and wasted) depending on to which interpretation you subscribe. Corn is likely corn-sourced distilled liquor.
